A Journey through nature and tradition
Ammi
There's something about shells that stopped me in my tracks the first time I really looked at one. Not just glanced—but looked. The way nature spirals and curves, how the ocean polishes rough edges into something you want to hold forever. That's where this all began.
I'm from São Paulo, where the streets pulse with colour and every corner tells a different story. Growing up Brazilian means growing up with vibrancy in your bones—it's in the music spilling from windows, the way people dress without apology, the bold and the beautiful living side by side. But I've always been drawn to something else too: the whisper of bohemian style, the earthiness of natural gemstones, that chic simplicity that lets a single piece speak volumes.
Ammi Accessories is what happened when I stopped waiting for jewellery that felt like me and decided to create it myself.
The Story in a Shell
Cowrie shells have been whispering stories for centuries. Long before they adorned necks and wrists, they were currency, symbols of fertility and prosperity, sacred objects in spiritual practices across Africa. When enslaved Africans were forced across the Atlantic to Brazil, they brought more than just their bodies—they carried their beliefs, their rituals, their connection to the divine. The cowrie shell traveled too, becoming a bridge between worlds, a reminder of home, a keeper of ancestral memory.
In Brazil, where African, Indigenous, and European cultures braided together into something entirely new, the cowrie remained sacred. In Candomblé and Umbanda, it speaks to orishas, it tells fortunes, it connects us to something older than ourselves.
When I work with cowrie shells, I'm holding all of that history. I'm honoring the ancestors whose resilience runs through my veins, whose creativity and spirit shaped the very fabric of Brazilian culture. Each shell in my designs carries that legacy—a small, powerful reminder that we are made of stories that refuse to be forgotten.

A Collection of Contradictions
Each piece in this collection is a little contradiction—and I mean that in the best way. Bold turquoise paired with delicate chains. Statement shells that somehow feel understated. It's jewelry for the moments when you want to be seen and the moments when you want to whisper. For the days you channel your ancestors' strength and the days you just want to feel like yourself.
I design for women who know that style isn't about choosing between vibrant and subtle. It's about having both in your jewelry box, ready for whatever version of you shows up that morning.
Healing Through Nature
My newest collection takes this connection to nature even deeper. Natural gemstones and crystals—each one chosen for the way it holds energy, the way it grounds you or lifts you or helps you find your centre again. Rose quartz for opening your heart. Black tourmaline for protection and grounding. Amethyst for clarity and peace. Citrine for joy that radiates from the inside out.
I don't just choose these stones because they're beautiful (though they are). I choose them because our ancestors knew something we're only just remembering: that the earth offers healing if we're willing to wear it close to our skin, to let it work its quiet magic.
More Than Accessories
These pieces carry parts of my story—my Brazilian roots, my African ancestry, my love affair with the ocean, my belief that natural materials have their own magic. But here's the thing: when you wear them, they become part of your story too.
That's what Ammi Accessories is really about. It's about jewelry that celebrates who you are—your culture, your style, your particular kind of vibrancy. Whether you're drawn to the bohemian pieces that feel like a summer that never ends, the cowrie shells that carry centuries of wisdom, or the healing crystals that help you navigate this beautiful, complicated life, there's space for you here.
Because fashion should feel like coming home to yourself. And sometimes, like remembering where you came from.
Welcome to Ammi. ✨
